Ramshorn Island is a small island on Lake Quinsigamond. This island is located on the south side of the newly renovated Burns Bridge. While many of the islands on Lake Quinsigamond are privately owned, Ramshorn Island is owned by the City of Worcester, therefore it is open to public use.
Worcester's island park is currently only accessible by boat. This island became a city park in 1919 and was the former home of various boat clubs.
Explore each side of the island by walking the foot paths. See and experience the lake from a different standpoint. You can arrive by boat, kayak, paddleboard, etc.
Getting there is half the fun!

Worcester’s largest and most diverse park includes a golf course and many sports fields, some lighted. There is a petting zoo, arboretum, ponds and playgrounds. Green Hill Pond, a 30-acre “great pond” is at the center. Multiple gazebos and picnic areas provide areas to relax and take in the view.
Lake View Playground is a small neighborhood park located on Lakeview Street, less than half a mile away from Lake Quinsigamond. This park features a playground, a swing set and a half basketball court. There also is a memorial stone bench on the Lakeview Street side of the park.
This playground is named after the late Elizabeth "Betty" Price, a woman who led the way for African American women in Worcester. The property consists of two parcels: one initially acquired from Prospect House, Inc. in 1968 and a second parcel acquired by the City in 2000.
