Coal Mine Brook features upgrades to the East West Trail Network, a new playground and a state of the art adult fitness area. This park was renovated and officially opened in Fall 2023.
The playground includes a modern jungle gym with net and rock-wall climbing features, circular net swings, an animal themed see-saw, climbing structures and slides! The ground around the playground and fitness area is made of poured-in-place rubber for improved safety and comfort. There are picnic areas and benches with companion seating nearby for relaxing at the park. You can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Quinsigamond as well!
This park includes a state-of-the-art adult fitness center. Get your workout on under the canopy on the outdoor ellipticals, pull-up and climbing bars, step-ups and see how high you can jump!
This park includes the north end of the East Side Trail that runs through this section of Worcester, ending at East Park. This trail includes a fully accessible walkway with overlooks of Coal Mine Brook. Educational, environmental and wildlife kiosks are also present at these overlooks!

Located just north of I-290 and Brittan Square, this 26 acre park offers a baseball diamond, two ponds, sledding hills when there is snow, and a multipurpose field which mostly hosts football games in the fall and soccer games in the spring.
Grant Square is located in the Green Hill neighborhood of Worcester. The park property was acquired in two sections, but after the larger piece was acquired, the two were combined into a single tract for park use. In 2015, the city installed a new playground, a new basketball court and community garden beds.
Harrington Field is a 6-acre park on the city's East Side, located between Franklin Street and Harrington Way. Named after former Worcester Mayor Francis A. Harrington, it is the home of Jack Barry Little League and features two softball fields, a baseball field, a playground and a basketball court.
